How to Get Your Child Involved

Check if Your School Participates

Ask your child's PE teacher or school office if they're registered with Sefton School Sports. Over 50 schools participate!

Register Through School

All participation is school-based. Your child's teacher will register them for events and competitions.

Support & Encourage

Attend events when possible, celebrate participation, and encourage practice at home!

Cross Country League

5-race league for Years 3-6. Build endurance, compete against other schools, and be part of a team!

Common Parent Questions

Does my child need to be good at sport to participate?

No! Our programmes are inclusive and suitable for all abilities. Every child can participate and improve.

What if my child has never done competitive sport before?

That's perfect! Many children start with us. Our coaches create supportive environments where everyone feels welcome.

Can parents attend events?

Yes! Parents are encouraged to attend and support. Check with your school for specific event details and times.

Is there a cost?

Cross country league is FREE. Other events may have small fees paid by schools. After-school clubs have competitive rates.
